How do I post a Picture?
« on: August 31, 2011, 12:13:21 AM »
After you have a username here on the forum, you can reply or start new topics. To post a picture in your reply you need to copy and paste a link to an outside website. Most people on here use a free account at "photobucketdotcom." Its very quick and easy to set up. Once you have the account set up the upload tool is easy to find and it lets you select multiple photos off your computer at once by holding the "CTRL" key and clicking them. The photos themselves are not saved here on the forum, they are saved in your photobucket account.

The simplest way to post a single photo is to hover your mouse over the picture and wait for this menu to appear under the picture. You then hover your mouse over the box to the immediate right of option "Image Code." Clicking here once, the box tells you "copied." You then open the reply screen here on the forum and paste it to its own line of text. The finished product should start and end with "IMG" in brackets, with "http://something" between the "IMG" brackets. You can see the start of this code in the box you need to click.

To paste you can right click and click "paste," or you can just hold down the "CTRL" key and then push the letter "V" key. "CTRL V" is paste, "CTRL C" is copy, and "CTRL X" is cut.

The forum lets you preview your posting and also modify it if it doesn't work. I believe you can post multiple pictures at once by using the checkbox under the picture, but I always keep it simple and post each picture individually. You can post multiple pictures in the same reply by hitting “enter” to a fresh line of text and pasting your next “img" code.
