'87 Eagle Limited + an '82 parts wagon (AR)
« on: August 28, 2013, 08:06:28 PM »
I might as well post this here.

1987 AMC Eagle Limited wagon w/109,039 mi.  (dark metallic blue)
I6 4.2, auto, 4x4, 2.35 gears
leather, pw, pdl, cc, ps, tilt, am/fm/cassette
woodgrain delete
aftermarket exhaust

I have owned her since 2007 & hate to get rid of it but I have too many cars and not enough time for them all and I really haven't had much time to drive it lately. And really could use the money since I spent most of what I had on my work/commuter car recently.
An original TN car (dealership was Foster Jeep-Eagle 1919 Covington Pike Memphis, TN  38128), bought from the 2nd owner and I do have the build sheet & original owners manual. Does come with the fender flares, I just decided to run without them there for awhile. They won't be installed but will be included. (1st 3 pics are recent 8-7-13, the others are from previous years).
At one point it was towed behind an RV and has the wiring for the lights and an easy-to-drop button for the driveshaft... neither have been tested since I never did tow it.

The bad:
-valve cover gasket is leaking.
-driver side seat is ripped on the side where the carpet meets the leather.
-some of the locks & windows are weak (might just need a shot of grease).
-ac doesn't work. Not sure if it just needs a charge or what. Never bothered with it since I am happy as long as I have heat for winter.
-needs a battery and probably tires soon since it's been sitting.
-needs the rear wiper arm. It didn't have one when I bought it and I never worried about it since I never use rear wipers anyways. (not even on my PT)
-does have the broken hood release knob, been using pliers like everyone else.

Asking $3,500 cash/firm.
With this price it comes with a 1982 AMC Eagle wagon parts car.
I6, auto.
Last time I messed with the parts car it did run. It's rough, it's ugly. It's been sitting in the backyard at my mom's for awhile now and I haven't been back there to look at it. It probably does have some rust.
Nothing has been stripped off of it by me, as it sits is how I got it... pretty much all there. Just got it for that 'just in-case scenario' & since it was bound for the scrapyard.
Do not want to sell them separately but will if the '87 sells first.
If the buyer isn't interested in the '82 parts car then I can just sell the '87 (same price $3,500) <- incentive to buy both.

Arkansas does not have vehicle inspections.
The lucky buyer will be responsible for inspections.
Both have clear Arkansas titles in my name.
Must be picked up locally. Buyer is responsible for any shipping.
PM me here if you're interested. Also have it listed in other places.
Thank you

very nice looking Eagle.  Too far, and too much to haul for me.  but very nice.  Is it black, or a dark blue?

Thanks Whuntmore!
I get asked that alot (dark blue or black) and thought I had corrected all my ads with the correct color so there would be no confusion.... but it is dark metallic blue.
Pictures seem to make it harder to tell which it is.

YW, you should have no problem selling it, with a parts car.  Even that parts car looks decent enough.  Great deal for someone wanting a really cool looking eagle.
