I no longer have an AMC Eagle, but I am still a fan.

After our fiasco with the Toyota Corolla I got for my wife I believe I am done with Japanese vehicles.

Dude you are preaching to a choir member that is close to becoming an AMC Minister if you know what I mean.

If this is not allowed, you can delete this, it will be moved to evo though, as I am curious. Is that particular AMX as rare as both ads make it sound.  Were there never many produced, or is natural elimination involved with this to get the idea that there are less than 500 left?

Of course this is allowed.

The Hornet AMX was a $799 trim package.  AMC typically did not track trim packages and in some cases AMC offered trim packages that could be purchased thru the dealer as an after sale dealer installed option.  I am not sure about the Hornet AMX having this availability.  11,545 Hornet Hatchbacks were built that year.  And, of the 77,843 Hornets built, only 4300 came with V8's.  So, it is kind of rare.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking you would know. You must have a book or a cheat sheet to remember all of those numbers
