Eagle headlight door
« on: August 01, 2012, 02:01:15 PM »
Is anyone interested in driver side headlight door? I need lots of them so I am thinking of having them reproduced but it is very expensive to have the mold made. I need at least 50 at $100 but the more we get the better the price. If I can get 100 ordered the price will drop to $50 each. These will be exactly like the original with the part number on it.

Yeah, are you talking about like the bucket that the headlights bolt on to? Cause I would imagine there would be quite a few people interested in those.

These commonly break

I guess I am the only one that call the plastic chrome trim around the headlight a headlight door. If there are enough people interested in the headlight bucket, (the black plastic that the headlights bolt to) I would concider having that reproduced also. Right now I am looking for interest in the plastic / chrome trim around the headlight for the driver side.

Yeah, I would be interested in a set if their a exact reproduction. Nos ones are very hard to find and when you do they want crazy money for them.

Terry, even if you had 100 made and sold the rest that you did not need for yourself, you would have a monopoly on the market.  Where else would someone get a NEW headlight bezel?  At $50 for a new part, you would have no problem selling them (although it might take a little time).  Finding 50 people that need a driver side headlight bezel right now, might be hard.  If you had them in stock, it would be easier to sell them....Rich

Remember there are those who need chromed and those who need black. Good luck in this endeavor. I'd buy one(some) eventually, since I'm terminal Eagle/Spirit-addicted.
