Going on a fall cruise drive with car club
« on: September 25, 2011, 09:58:32 PM »
Looking at an all day driving excursion along the Mississippi River. Should I take the car that my dad bought brand new; the 1967 Rambler Rebel or the Mighty 87 Eagle Wagon? Help me decide my destiny.

I dunno, how does the Rambler look and run? :/

I like Nash stuff but the closest thing I've been able to get to one is an Eagle. Oddly enough, if I had a choice between a Hudson Hornet and an AMC Hornet, I'd drive the AMC. I'm a bit weird like that.

The Rebel is not Nash. Designed by Teague, not Andersen. The 67 Rambler Rebel is the predecesssor to the Rebel Machine. Pictured below.

Take the Rambler. If it's a classic cruise, if it's all years, then either or.

Like others have said, the Eagle should get the votes here (Eagle site).  However, I agree with Sunny- definitely the Rambler if a classic cruise.

Hard for me to decide got into Eagles because I couldn't find a Rambler.  Of course I prefer the last generation Ramber Americans myself.

Any chance you could tow the Rambler with the Eagle for the event? :)

I no longer have an AMC Eagle, but I am still a fan.

After our fiasco with the Toyota Corolla I got for my wife I believe I am done with Japanese vehicles.

Dude you are preaching to a choir member that is close to becoming an AMC Minister if you know what I mean.

I think the Rambler would be too heavy for any tow package for an Eagle anyway.
